Since 2006 – Assistant Professor of the Department of Criminal Law and Procedure of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University. Since 2008, he has been a senior lecturer at the Department of Criminal Law and Procedure of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University. Since 2009 – associate professor of the Department of Criminal Law, and since 2012 – associate professor of the Department of Criminal Law. Research activities Dissertation topic “Using special psychological knowledge regarding minor participants in the pre-trial investigation.” The dissertation was defended in 2009 at the specialized council of the Kyiv National University of Internal Affairs (supervisor – Doctor of Law, Professor M.V. Kostytskyi). The topic of the doctoral dissertation: “Aggression: legal and psychological assessment,” was approved by the decision of the Academic Council of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University (scientific consultant – Doctor of Law, Professor M.V. Kostytsky). Under the leadership of Petechel O. Yu. M.O. Iatsyna’s thesis for the Doctor of Philosophy degree was defended (topic “Non-governmental organizations as subjects of criminological policy”). He is the author of 70 scientific publications, 1 of which is a monograph, and 14 were published in specialized journals of Ukraine.
